Paper Snowman Hat Decoration

Paper Snowman Hat

We all know how the song goes "there must have been some magic in that old silk hat they found..." We are big fans of the old Frosty the Snowman classic movie in my home. We watch it every year without fail and it's one of my favorites. Today's Paper Snowman Hat will bring a little magic to your holiday home. This hat is fun to make and will be so cute tucked among your other Christmas and winter decorations.

Winter Swag made entirely of paper

Paper Winter Swag and Pinecone ...

I love decorating for the holidays, but Christmas goes by so quickly, and then all the decorations have to come down almost as fast as they went up. This will not be the case if you make this pretty winter swag. It can stay up all the way through the winter season. This winter swag is a more difficult project to put together but if you follow the step by step directions it will turn out great! Your friends and family will be wowed that you made it completely out of paper!

Notes or Love Message Board

Love Notes/Message Center

Okay, confession time! This project ended up being a completely different concept when I got through with it. I had intended on creating a message center to keep track of calendars, menus, lists, etc. However, I had a few things happen personally over the last week or so in my family that changed the idea. The idea of having Love Notes is based on the idea that we look for positive and good things that are going on around us with our family. So many times we get caught up in the wrong or bad things others are doing that we create a negative circle in our lives. I hope with this idea and concept, we can all start to find the simplest good things we love about each other, even when it is hard.

Custom Coasters

Custom Coasters

About 5-6 years ago a friend gave me some of these tile coasters and I have absolutely loved them and used them every day.   I realized what a useful and wonderful gift this was, but it is also cost effective and a great option for a quick gift to have ready, just in case you get to a gathering and realize you need a gift.

Paper Snow Globe Christmas Project

12 Gifts of Christmas-Day #1: ...

As the Christmas season rolls around each year, my family looks forward to our tradition of watching as many Christmas movies as we can. My favorites are the classic stop motion movies that were on television when I was a kid, like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I loved to think that every scene was created in miniature and filmed one step at a time. These little snow globes remind me of those miniature scenes and I hope you will enjoy them. The file features several different options so you can mix and match your snow globe to your liking. You can cut them all from white for a monochromatic look or cut each layer in color. I used glass bowls I found at Dollar Tree store. They have a 3.5" opening and 3.5" flat bottom. If you can't find the exact bowl, substitute with a bigger size and adjust the files.

Wooden Crate Gift Box

While shopping one day, my eye caught a large display of wooden crates. I immediately thought they would make cute gift boxes, only they would have to be a lot smaller. I went to work right away and created this little crate.

Thanksgiving/Fall Cutlery Pockets

One thing I love about this Design Team position with Pazzles is that I get to try new things. You see, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Australia, so creating a project for that was great fun for me. As some of you will know, I love to host a dinner party or two and that is an excuse to make things for the table! This cutlery pocket was an excellent opportunity to try out something new for my dinner tables! Creating great table décor is at your fingertips with the amazing craft room files available.

Home Decor

Today I’m sharing a project with you that I’ve been wanting to do for ages – a family monogram for our front door. This file was so easy to put together and it’s so much fun designing and coming up with new ideas.

Stand Up Pumpkin Box

These stand up pumpkin boxes have a dual purpose. They can be made for decoration plus they open up to store treats or gifts.

Pazzles Project Pattern: Letter Tiles

I am not sure whether it is nostalgia or something else that draws us to those little wooden letter tiles but it seems that we all love them. This month's Project Pattern includes the traditional letter tiles that we all recognize but it also includes ones for punctuation, numbers, and shapes. There are even some with fancy corners that have room for you to add your own font. Whether you make them big enough to hang as a banner, or small enough to add to a card these tiles will spark you creativity! Use them for wall decorations or on bulletin boards, make them in traditional colors or pink and blue for a baby. The options are endless.

Fall Leaf Decorative Banner

Despite the fact that it's still swimsuit weather here in Kuna, Idaho, the calendar insists that fall is approaching. I love decorating my house for the season with autumn colors, and I love baking everything pumpkin, so I am for sure looking forward to the weather starting to change. I made this cute little fall banner this week to hang on my mantle. Maybe Mother Nature will see it through the window my hint will work. Until I have real autumn leaves to enjoy, I'll enjoy the paper version.

Candle Wraps

Candles are such a beautiful addition to a table setting or as home décor pieces, and what better way to jazz up your next dinner party than to quickly whip up your own candle decoration to sit your flameless candles in?

File folder labels

Creating a Home Paperwork Station

Today I’m sharing a super quick and easy project to help get you organized. Our family command centre is coming together and my magazine rack from IKEA has just been mounted to the wall for all our documents that used to get dumped on the kitchen bench. The 4 x 6 Thursday to Sunday frames file is so quick to cut out and using a patterned paper for the centre piece as well as adding some paper flowers give them a lift. I printed straight onto the card stock for each ‘label’ instead of cutting the text out, and inked all edges of my cardstock with Copic markers.

A Garden Makeover

For many years I have been saying I wanted to create a nice backyard garden area that was fun and functional. As I have looked at magazines, online and just chatted with people, I realized I had the ability to not only have a nice garden, but with my Pazzles, some garage sale finds, spray paint and some vinyl, I was able to get a good start on my creation.

Framed Cherry Blossom Paper Tree

Spring Blossoms Paper Tree Art

Ah, Spring – one of my favourite seasons. Beautiful blooms, sunshine and not too hot days. I adore the way that in America, you celebrate the turn of every season and decorate your homes accordingly. We don’t do that here in Australia, but I love the idea of it and am considering doing it in our house.

Desk Organizer Box

Desktop Organizer Box

This fun organizer box is great to sit on your desk for those things that you always need to have handy, but don't want to look cluttered. It would also be great for make up or your finger nail supplies. Use your imagination and use it where it is the most convenient for you. The dividers inside can be where you choose to put them or if you prefer, don't put in any dividers.

DIY Suncatcher

Make Your Own Spring Suncatcher

Spring is on the horizon, flowers are getting ready to bloom and the sun is ready to give all its warmth to the Earth. I love this time of year and one of my favorite things are sun catchers. I have been making them in one form or another since I was a little girl. For today’s project I’m using the Pen Tool and transparency film. In my InVue software I drew two squares turning one on end inside the other to form my design. Then I imported the Daffodils file from the Craft Room and with a little finessing was able to make the file so no lines overlapped.
