All Fools Day Card

I would show you the inside of this card but...there isn't one! That's the trick, the "money" is stuck inside a card that will not open. At least it is fake money!

Using Multiple Blade Holders

I’ve heard from multiple people over the last few weeks that have purchased an extra blade holder so that one holder is dedicated to strictly paper, vinyl, fabric or chipboard. There’s been even more enquiries as to whether this is necessary.

Welding Magic- Falling in Love ...

I remember the first time I figured out the welding feature in my cutting software. It was like magic to me; overlap two pieces- click WELD- and in seconds I had joined the letters together! No more gluing letters down one by one. No more punching and gluing ovals to make a flower. It was like falling in love- it consumed my every thought. A thousand creative ideas began to fill my waking (and sleeping) hours! I am sure you all can relate to how freeing that moment of discovery was. I experienced that excitement of discovery all over again when I got my Inspiration Studio Pro software and found the new welding tools. Better yet, they were all on the tool bar so I didn’t have to hunt them up in the menu anymore. WooHoo! They were standing like nice little soldiers in a row, just waiting for my command.

Showtime….

For the last month or so, I have thought I was on top and in first place....then I realized, I was so far behind that I only THOUGHT I was in first place. *grin The reason for mentioning this is I have been remiss in announcing the Upcoming Shows. But starting RIGHT NOW, I will announce them. I'm very sorry for the delay. That all being said....WATCH OUT PORTLAND...we are on our way there this coming weekend. Be sure and stop by and see some of the new project, up close and in person. They are great on line, but seeing them in real life is amazing. Also, we have the NEW Inspiration Carry Bags and all entire line of Rhinestone products. I will be happy to demo how the rhinestones work for those wanting to see that in real life as well. We will also have the Pro 2010 Inspiration Software with us. Be sure you have your Craft Room Membership up to date, and you can receive your 15% off at the show. I'm looking so forward to seeing every one, be sure and join us. For more information Click Here

Brace Face

We can do all kinds of things with our Pazzles Creative Cutter including vinyl, airbrush stencils, boxes, bags, clothing, and rhinestones just to name a few. However that doesn't change the fact that at heart, we are mostly scrapbookers. That is why I just love seeing a great idea for a scrapbook page.

Loading Mats Into Your Inspiration

When designing the Inspiration we tried to make things as simple as possible. One example of this is the guides on the Inspiration that help you properly position the mat when loading it into your Inspiration. This also helps properly align the mat if you ever have to reload your mat and want your cuts in the same location as before.

Congratulations to PUGMOM…this month’s Challenge ...

Pugmom, did this great rendition of a bag and even pulled a great file off out of the library to complete her project. I'm so happy to see so many people participating and I hope that I will see even more in April. So be watching for the April Challenge Post. Remember, this is a PARTICIPATION CHALLENGE and all you have to do is upload your project to the challenge page and your name is entered to win in the random drawing. If you missed seeing all of the wonderful projects shared, be sure and go look at them at March Challenges

Are You a Visual Person? ...

Are you a visual person? Do you need to SEE a project in order to know if the colors will work? I know that I am, and I can’t always ‘see’ those colors in my mind. Sometimes what I envision in my mind does not work well when translated to paper and pattern. By the time I have found the right colors for my photo or layout I usually have papers strewn all over my workspace. The Inspiration Studio Pro Software has a wonderful tool that gives me a good idea of what colors of paper I need to look for. This is saving me a lot of time and frustration in choosing papers for my layouts.

Air Brush Stencils

There are so many things that you can do with your Inspiration that people are coming up with new ways all the time. Here at Pazzles we get phone calls from people using or planning to use their Inspiration for all sorts of different projects. We love hearing and seeing all of your ideas. I love this idea by Craft Room member anamoreno. She created airbrush stencils on her Pazzles Inspiration for her sons little league baseball team.

Using the Pause Feature on ...

Last week we touched base on the function of the repeat button. I was happy to hear that you enjoyed the blog and actually got a bit more insight as to the benefits of using this feature. This week I thought it would be beneficial to talk about the pause button and how this can help you as you’re creating your wonderful projects.

How Does This Go Together??

Are you like me; long on ideas but short on memory? I love creating designs with my Inspiration Studio software even if I won’t use them right away. I am a bit obsessive about saving them for future use. My problem is that I don’t “exactly” remember sometimes how they were supposed to go together!! Now, I have managed to get really SMART! It is such a good idea that I don’t know why I didn’t think of it sooner. When I want to save an example of how the pieces should be assembled, I use the Convert To Image function.

Shamrock Headband

This shamrock headband is an easy way to add some Irish pride to you or your kids' outfits!

Gift Bags

I love giving gifts but I am also on a tight budget. I really don't like having to spend an extra $5.00 or more just for the gift bag. I even try to recycle gift bags but that can be tricky to do without having them look a little over-loved before getting to the recipient. I hope I am not alone in this little quirk! That is why I love these gift bags by craft room member Dreamgal

Using the ‘Repeat, Repeat, Repeat…’ ...

Lately I’ve had a few people enquire about the repeat button. For those of us who have been using the Inspiration for a while, we know how convenient using the repeat button can be.

Choices, Choices

At some point in our journey to “Cutting Enlightenment” we all want to create a card or box. This usually occurs when we get beyond the simple single fold card and want to do something a bit more complicated. We are familiar with the scoring tools used by card makers: the ball tipped embossing tool, the bone folder and the scoring blade for the slicer/cutters. But what can be done with the Inspiration? Surely there is some nifty way to score fold lines with our amazing machine. In fact, I have come up with at least 9 different ways to score a fold line. It all depends on what look you want, what tool you have and how much time you want to spend on it. Let me try to explain all of your options, then it is up to you to decide which to use.

March Challenge

Pazzles has given us so many cute projects to do with many variations. The challenge for this month is to do one of the projects (that you have not done previously). To look at the projects current and past, just go here and look around. After you have completed it, just go to the Pazzles Challenge Album and put it in March Challenges.

Round Boxes

I wish that ladies still wore hats more often. I love looking at vintage hats and all the many beautiful and unique styles that we have gone through over the decades. These little round boxes remind me so much of hat boxes and I love hat boxes as much as I love hats!

Sweet Little Lady

I found resisting this adorable little bug was simply impossible for this week's Fabulous Find. Melin created the lady bug in the software, filled it with her color choices, and then print and cut her out. I love that we have the ability to do this in our software and I am so inspired by Melin's project that I think I will be using this technique on a project of my own today.

Inspiration Studio Pro Software Auto ...

If you’re like me you sometimes get a jolt of inspiration and before you know it you’re in a hurry to create the project you have in mind, so much so that you don’t stop to think about saving your work. It can be frustrating to experience computer problems that as a result cause the software to shut down. The problem with that is you can lose all your work if the power goes out, the software shuts down, or you computer crashes. Realizing you have just lost all that work can be a horrible feeling, but with the new Inspiration Studio Pro software you have the ability to ‘Auto Save’ your work and retrieve it again.

Where IS that file??

We all know we need to back up our files. I am sure you have heard the horror stories about computer crashes and stolen computers where some poor soul has lost all of their files. It isn't difficult to imagine how they feel. I would be devastated, especially if I lost all of my cutting designs! I couldn't possibly recreate them all again. With so many of us having laptops that go everywhere the potential for a catastrophe is even greater. Backing up your Inspiration Studio files is essential but finding all of those files can be a bit frustrating if you don't know where to look.
