What’s Up (Q&A)

Using Multiple Blade Holders

I’ve heard from multiple people over the last few weeks that have purchased an extra blade holder so that one holder is dedicated to strictly paper, vinyl, fabric or chipboard. There’s been even more enquiries as to whether this is necessary.

Loading Mats Into Your Inspiration

When designing the Inspiration we tried to make things as simple as possible. One example of this is the guides on the Inspiration that help you properly position the mat when loading it into your Inspiration. This also helps properly align the mat if you ever have to reload your mat and want your cuts in the same location as before.

Using the Pause Feature on ...

Last week we touched base on the function of the repeat button. I was happy to hear that you enjoyed the blog and actually got a bit more insight as to the benefits of using this feature. This week I thought it would be beneficial to talk about the pause button and how this can help you as you’re creating your wonderful projects.

Using the ‘Repeat, Repeat, Repeat…’ ...

Lately I’ve had a few people enquire about the repeat button. For those of us who have been using the Inspiration for a while, we know how convenient using the repeat button can be.

Inspiration Studio Pro Software Auto ...

If you’re like me you sometimes get a jolt of inspiration and before you know it you’re in a hurry to create the project you have in mind, so much so that you don’t stop to think about saving your work. It can be frustrating to experience computer problems that as a result cause the software to shut down. The problem with that is you can lose all your work if the power goes out, the software shuts down, or you computer crashes. Realizing you have just lost all that work can be a horrible feeling, but with the new Inspiration Studio Pro software you have the ability to ‘Auto Save’ your work and retrieve it again.

When It’s Time To Change ...

Have you ever been cutting a project and noticed that one moment the cuts are fine and the next you’ll see light feathering around the edges? It’s amazing how quickly a blade can go bad. There are a few other tale-tale signs that your blade will need to be changed.

Adjusting Your Settings

When we were creating the Inspiration we wanted it to be both easy to use while still being versatile enough to meet all your needs. Two very important factors when it comes to your Inspiration. Choosing your blade length and pressure is just one of the many ways we try to provide you both ease and versatility.

Downloading and Saving Images From ...

We hope that you’re enjoying the Image Library and the wide variety of cutting files that you’ll find there. We spend a lot of time creating unique, stylized images that we hope not only make creating projects easier, but get your creative juices flowing for upcoming projects too. The Craftroom is a great place to be inspired. I love seeing the projects that are put up…well maybe I don’t because it always seems I’m running to the craft store to buy more materials to make those projects!! My friends always tell me how creative I am, little do they know it’s the Craftroom and all of you that make me so creative! Those wonderful projects I’m creating and ideas I get are all because of you!

New Computer and Which Updates ...

Many of you may be looking to purchase a new computer in the near future. It’s important to note which updates are required from our website after purchasing a new operating system and installing the Inspiration studio software.

Which Updates Should You Download??

We’ve talked about how valuable the Inspiration updates are because of the added enhancements and features that it gives the software and your Inspiration. However, depending on the version of software you are using with your Inspiration you may not need to do the software update.

Maintenance on Your Inspiration

Wouldn’t it be nice if everything that we ever purchased worked perfectly and there was never any need for maintenance or repair? It would be like purchasing a new car that never needed oil changes or new tires! Well unfortunately it’s not always like that, which means that everything from time to time will need a little maintenance.

Registering Your Inspiration Studio Pro ...

There are many of you who are excited about the new features that are included in the Inspiration Studio Pro software. I know that for me I was so excited to make last minute gifts using the rhinestone feature. There’s nothing like a customized gift especially using rhinestones!! For those of you who have installed the software and are up and running you’ll notice a multitude of benefits to the upgrade. However, for those who haven’t upgraded yet and are waiting; don’t fret because the Inspiration Studio software is wonderful in its own right, although it may be missing a few of the upgrades that the Inspiration Studio Pro software provides.

Straightening Out Curls In Your ...

Making sure that your mats are stored as flat as possible is very important. The quality of your cuts depends a great deal on the quality of your mats. The Inspiration was designed to load the mat with ease and lines up perfectly when it’s loaded into your Inspiration. This is one of my favorite features of the Inspiration!

When To Retire Your Mat

With Christmas right around the corner a lot of you are probably in a hurry to finish up Christmas cards and last minute gift ideas with your cutter. I know how easy it is to get busy with family, your house and work. With so much to do and so little time to spare, you probably want your Christmas cards and other Christmas projects on the Inspiration to go as quickly and smoothly as possible. It’s also easy with how busy you are to forget when the last time you changed out your blade and mat was.

Cleaning Your Blade Holder

When it comes to papers there are a lot of different textures and types. That means that some papers may be smoother and/or be more fibrous depending on the quality and components that the paper is made of. When your Inspiration is cutting through papers, especially more fibrous ones, the paper will shed small fibers as the blade is working through it. That’s why it’s important to check your blade for paper build up.

Cutting Vinyl

I hope that there are a lot of you out there that have used our vinyl in conjunction with our Home Décor CD to decorate the walls in your home and office. There are so many fun quotes and images on the CD that it almost makes it hard to choose which one to use! Nothing adds a personal touch like being able to customize vinyl to fit the theme and decorations in your home. It’s also a great way to dress up those dreary walls that you just haven’t had the time to decorate. It’s amazing how having a simple phrase or quote on a wall can enchant your friends and family and even make them laugh too.

Using the Correct Power Supply

In the process of moving it’s so easy to misplace items and wonder which boxes things got packed in to. If you’re like me you probably tend to put all the electronics into one box or tote to make sure that it stays together. However, when you go to take everything out, it can be pretty confusing which cords go to which electronics. Even if you aren’t in the process of actually moving your entire home, it’s still a good idea to mark your cords in case you find you have to move your Inspiration.

The ‘Shocking’ Truth About Static

There are many factors that can determine the performance of the Inspiration and its cutting abilities from weather and humidity right down to the location of where you have your Inspiration. It can be ‘shocking’ but did you know that static in your house can affect the performance of your Inspiration?

Cleaning Your Inspiration Rollers

It never surprises me how easy it is for me to put off cleaning my house for several days. It’s so hard to get to the tasks at hand when there are so many other fun things to do like spend quality time with friends and family, and not to forget—crafting with your Inspiration! It’s easy to neglect all the clean up that acquires in your house when you don’t keep up on it. The same principle applies when it comes to tasks with your Inspiration, like checking to make sure that you don’t have adhesive build up on your rollers.

On Your Way to Finding ...

Pazzles has been so fortunate to have so many new Inspiration users. With a deal like we offer with the subscription membership, you can’t go wrong! With new users come new questions, but also questions we’ve touched on in the past that our more seasoned users already know the answers to. It never hurts to touch on a few of those questions again since some of you are just starting out with your Inspirations and need a bit of clarification, or perhaps our older users have forgotten.

Opening Cutting Files

Have you ever found yourself having a hard time communicating with someone whether it be a language barrier, or perhaps not understanding the question thoroughly? We’ve all found ourselves in that position at one time or another. Working with your Inspiration can sometimes be like that too. It’s a ‘Pazzling’ situation at times, but always easily resolved once you get to know your Inspiration better and the software too.

It’s Nice to be Recognized

Have you ever seen a familiar face in a crowd, but couldn’t remember when and where you met them? It can be pretty frustrating when you recognize someone, but can’t remember a name. It can sometimes be like that with your Inspiration too. If you’ve plugged it in and it’s not able to be recognized by your computer, here are a few things you can try.

Installing the Inspiration Studio Pro ...

It’s exciting when there are new products launched here at Pazzles. We know how excited all of you are to enjoy the many features included with upgrades that make using your Inspiration not only more fun, but easier to use too!

The Need For Speed

One of the best things about the Inspiration Studio software is the ability to have so many options to improve the quality of your cuts. This can range from pressure, blade length and also the speed. We live in fast paced world, and time is everything to us. However, when you find that increasing the speed of your Inspiration isn’t giving you the results you want, maybe it’s time to take a break and slow things down a bit.
