Decorations

Winter Holiday Village Store

Christmas Village Luminary

Christmas decorations have a way to make our favorite places shine and add that warm, inviting feeling. They make a wonderful display for family and friends to experience the holiday cheer whenever they come to visit, and this holiday village is no exception.

Holiday Cupcake Gift Box

If you are still feeling stuffed from one too many pieces of pie, we have just the sweet treat for you today. We've whipped up some holiday cupcakes that won't add a single inch to your waistline. These little cupcakes are life-size and can be opened to hold tasty treats or glued together for a decoration. Stick a flag in the top to use as place cards for a holiday party. The cutting file includes paper berries, but we've added pom-poms and rhinestones the berries on our cupcakes. You can also use buttons or brads and make each cupcake unique. Have fun baking up a paper treat!

Inking and Chalking Tips

Cutting out amazing images in any color, shape and size: isn't that the magic of the Pazzles Inspiration electronic cutter? I can cut paper shapes and combine layers, colors and textures to create a visual feast for the eyes. If you stop with the paper and glue you have a great project. However, if you want an amazing project you need to move beyond the paper. You can add depth and character by inking or chalking the paper to add shadow and highlights. Suddenly, like magic, the flat pieces of paper have curves and dimension.

Pilgrim Hat and Bonnet

Maybe it's just me, but I'm a little partial to miniature things made of paper. These Thanksgiving Pilgrim hats are no exception. I think they are so sweet and I can't wait to make a dozen of them. They would be so cute on each child's plate at the kid's table; a hat for the boys and a bonnet for the girls. Or, attach the hat version to a headband for a fun photo prop.

Cornucopia-Horn-of-Plenty-Angle

Thanksgiving Cornucopia Centerpiece: Part Two, ...

Today we complete the Thanksgiving Cornucopia Centerpiece! Fill your cornucopia to overflowing with a variety of dimensional fruits and vegetables. It will make a beautiful display fit for a grand Thanksgiving dinner.

Haunted House Mansion

Haunted Village Part 4: Haunted ...

I have to admit that I am a little sad that this Haunted Village project has come to an end. It has been a lot of fun to work on. The team effort has been worth it and we all want to do group projects more often. It has also made me grow in my dimensional engineering skills!

Haunted Villiage with Graveyard, Trees, Headstone, Fence, and Horseless Hearse

Haunted Village Part 2: The ...

I must admit that when we were talking about the Haunted Village, that I put in 'dibs' on the graveyard. I hope you enjoy putting together the graveyard, trees, and fence to add fun to your Haunted Village. I have given you some different epitaphs and names to put on the headstones. Don't forget, you can create your own epitaphs, so be sure to have fun and personalize your project.

Haunted Village: Backdrop

It is no secret that the Halloween season is upon us. Haunted House attractions are springing up in the community, neighbors are stringing spider webs in the yard and costumes are occupying a prime location in the stores. This year we thought it would be fun to create a 3D Halloween Village. Each week, for the next four weeks, you will get another part of the diorama. It will be designed so you can fold it up and store it away for Halloween next year. After you put all the loving details into your project you will definitely want to use it again!

Hot Air Balloon Box

Take your boxes to new heights with this amazing paper hot air balloon. Using a small dowel or candy stick, paper, and twine you can create your own - complete with a weaved basket case with plenty of room for treats!

Covering Chipboard Shapes

Have you noticed all of the chipboard shapes available? There are letters and shapes both simple and more detailed. Do you ever find one particular shape that is just begging you to buy it and turn it into something wonderful? And have you ever bought one of those shapes and spent hours painting it, or hand tracing and cutting paper to go on it? I have to admit that in the past I have passed up those fun shapes because I did not want to spend a lot of time making the project. Plus, why buy a chipboard shape when I can cut chipboard on my Inspiration?

Teapot Box

I've made a lot of box patterns during my time at Pazzles, and I mean a LOT. I am, if I may so say without sounding too conceited, pretty good at it. Other people are gifted at making scrapbook pages, cards, altered arts etc. but as for me, boxes are where it is at. While I am proud of every box I make, some just have a little something extra that makes me ever so proud. This is one of those boxes. I love all the curves of this box and I love how well it emulates a real tea pot!

Eiffel Tower Box

An adorable Eiffel tower box that you can fill with Parisian treats (or Hershey's kisses).

Valentines Party Set with Subtract Weld

Valentine with Subtract Weld

Wow! The actual DAY, Valentine's Day, really snuck up on me! I have been making valentine themed projects for Pazzles for a month now but totally missed the fact that I needed to get things done for my Grandkids for today. As I was working on redoing the video tutorial for Subtract Weld, it occurred to me that it was the perfect technique to use to create a quick and easy table setting for Valentine's day.

Lantern

It’s a new year full of new promise and experiences. Embrace the New Year! I hope that you enjoy creating this lantern for your own home décor, or for friends who could use a little “light” in their lives with the beginning of 2012.

Paper Bows

Wrapping a gift in beautiful paper and bows is half the fun of gift giving. Every year I pick just the right wrapping paper to fit my theme. Well, at least that is the theory. I like to have a different wrapping paper for each of the grandkids but now that there are 11 of them it is impossible. Now I have a different paper for each family, that way it is less confusing when it comes to passing the gifts out on Christmas Day.

Witch’s Brew

Halloween has become less about the candy over the years and more about the food, and good friends at our parties. I always like to bring the hostess of the event a little surprise and I thought this would be a perfect gift for our Halloween get together this year. What a great way to dress up a bottle of sparkling apple cider or your favorite bottle of wine to go along with all the goulish snacks and dips. I even included some wine tags with some cute sayings on them so that you don’t lose your glass at the party. It’s another great way to customize your glasses with either your guest’s names, or just to put a smile on their faces. “Witch”ever you decide to make, I hope you and your friends enjoy a very spooky, Happy Halloween!

Pastry Tools Teaser

I'm working late tonight trying to get everything ready for the Pastry Tools! We are so close to being ready I can almost taste it (haha get it? TASTE!). While I am waiting for some videos to render I thought I might give you a little teaser. So, here is another one of our cakes we made for the video tutorials that are included in the Pastry Starter Kit. There is SO MUCH information in these tutorials. I wish someone could have handed me these videos when I was first learning!

What will You do with ...

I absolutely love small town pride and all the hoopla that goes with it! Pazzles is located in a small town and this past weekend we celebrated our company and our home town. There was the BBQ and the farmers market, the craft booths and the barrel train ride, but best of all was the parade. It may be hokey and lack the glitz of the big city but small town parades are a lot of fun! Where else can a kid get a huge bag of candy in less than an hour? Where else can you get soaked by the little old ladies and their water hoses as you walk by? (Believe me, that is very welcome on a 90 degree day!)

Camping Tent

Paper crafting is not just a hobby, but an expression of what we are and the things we like to do. For those of you who like to hike, or just like going camping this is the perfect project, but it also makes a great gift for kids who get to enjoy camps over the summer too. This summer I was able to take a hiking trip with an amazing group of friends. Since this was my first time, I didn’t anticipate the almost five mile hike. I was pretty exhausted by the time we got to our destination and started prepping our camp to get all the tents set up. I have to say it was a pretty impressive sight to look around our camp and realize we packed everything in with fifty pound packs. I made this tent to preserve the memories of that trip.

Fresh Lemonade Tin

We get together with good friends often, and most of the time it is at my house. That means I’m in charge of providing snacks and drinks. Nothing says summer like a glass of cold, fresh lemonade. Not only is it a great way to decorate for adults getting together, but it’s a great way to decorate the kid’s lemonade stand too. I hope that you’re enjoying your summer—there’s going to be plenty of warm, sunny days. Just make sure that you have plenty of ‘fresh lemonade’ on hand to help cool you off!

Elegant Etching

Elegance does not need to be expensive. Your Inspiration can help you make beautiful etched glass accents for any summer occasion. These etched wine goblets, mirror, flat glass marbles and candle make elegant pieces for an outdoor wedding, wine tasting or birthday party. You can custom create any design you envision and convert plain, inexpensive glass into a look that any hostess can be proud of.

4th of July Banner

A great 4th of July vintage banner that you can make as you are getting ready for your 4th of July celebrations. Just change out the text and colors to use this rosette banner any time of the year!

Easy Easter Egg Buddies

I think that we all know that creating fun projects like these still brings out the kid in all of us. So maybe we are just all kids stuck in grownups bodies! When I created these little ‘Easter Buddies’ I right away thought not only are they cute decorations, but they would make great place settings to write the names of friends and family members on them to reserve their special spot at the table for Easter brunch or dinner.
